Usage: 

1. In the Flavor, used as raw material for the production of methyl vanillin and ethyl vanillin.

2. In the pharmaceutical, it is used as a synthetic intermediate of dl-p-hydroxyphenylglycine, broad-spectrum antibiotics (oral), acetophenone, amino acids and other compounds,
